Hey everyone it’s Kyle or most of you probably know me as BlueCollarKyle. I am a Auto Collision Technician located in St. Louis Missouri.

I grew up learning from my dad at my grandparents auto repair shop so naturally I had a passion for cars from a young age. I decided I wanted to learn the Autobody side of the business so in high school I took 2 years of the Autobody program at a local Technical High School. After high school I spent the next 2 years at Ranken Technical College for Auto Collision Repair. I started my first full time job in a bodyshop in May of 2007. I now have 11 years of real world experience as a body technician.

Being a very driven and determined person, I found success quickly in my career. I could see the opportunities and money that could be made and I was full throttle after it. When My career started at age 20 I set my first goal to be making six figures by age 25. At 24 I checked that box and have made more every year since

So why did I create the BlueCollarKyle Project? About 3 years ago, even though I was making great money, I started thinking about whats next for me. I enjoy what I do, but I am the type that has to always be working towards bigger things. In my opinion, there was no where else to move up. Other than owning my own shop (which I have no interest in doing) I was already at the top as far as I was concerned. For many years I was helping our HR department in recruitment at job fairs and I quickly noticed how hard it was to find young people coming into the industry. At the same time, I was on Ranken Technical College’s advisory board I would see less and less enrollment in the Auto Collision Program each year. After watching all of this unfold for many years I decided this problem has to be fixed. Someone needs to Bring Respect Back to the Blue Collar and that someone was me. Thats when I started the BlueCollarKyle Project. My mission is to introduce the industry to teenagers and young adults who do not know what they want to do yet with their life. I knew I was the right person for the job because I don’t mind putting myself out there, I can take the criticism, I don’t mind putting in the work and I have already been successful in the business. After months of “planning it out” in May of 2017 I dove in head first and started the BlueCollarKyle Project. Using my creative content on all of my social media platforms, hopefully I will be able to spark the interest of young minds and inspire them to go into the industry.
